What are the precautions for using an injection blow molding machine? Did you know? Let’s find out together today! 1. Do not operate the machine when it’s empty of material, as this can help reduce wear between the screw and the cylinder.

What are the precautions for using an injection blow molding machine? Did you know? Let’s find out together today!

  1. Operating without material present can reduce wear between the screw and the cylinder.

  2. For screws, it is recommended to use an IKv screw plastic injection blow molding machine for hollow molding. Under the same conditions, this machine offers higher productivity and stronger plasticizing capability. Operation should not be carried out if the barrel temperature or the plastic raw material temperature is insufficient, to prevent damage to the screw and connecting parts.

  3. If any unusual noises occur during the injection blow molding process, the machine should be immediately stopped and inspected to identify and address the potential risks.

  4. Do not allow any trash, impurities, or metal to enter the filter plate, as this will increase the extruder’s resistance and affect both the quantity and quality of the product.

  5. If the resin pressure in the filter element is high, the filter element plate may become clogged and should be replaced promptly. If the resin pressure monitor or display does not indicate any abnormalities, you can observe changes in the main motor current and the extrusion component to determine whether replacement is necessary. If the injection blow molding machine has not been used for an extended period, please turn off the cooling water valve for the screw feeding section and drain the cooling water.

  6. Regularly calibrate the temperature controller and check its adjustment accuracy and control sensitivity.

  7. Inspect the heater wiring and contactors, check the mounting fixtures, and ensure close contact between the heater and the cylinder.

That’s all for the tips on maintenance, upkeep, and proper usage of injection blow molding machines. Proper maintenance and correct operational practices not only enhance the production efficiency of injection blow molding machines but also extend the interval between major overhauls and reduce the overall cost of economic operation and control for these machines.

The above are the precautions for using injection blow molding machines that we’ve introduced for you. We hope they’ll be helpful!
